Refund Policy

Refund Policy

Last updated: 20 August 2026

This policy applies to courses purchased through the Essential Fire Protection Training portal at training.essentialfireprotection.com.au.

Our courses are digital products

When you purchase a course, you receive immediate access to the full course content. Because of this, our refund policy depends on whether you have started the course.

If you have not started the course

You can request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not opened any lesson or started the assessment. We will process the refund to your original payment method.

If you have started the course

Once you have opened a lesson or started the assessment, the course is considered used and a refund is not available. This is because the course content has been delivered to you.

Team and organisation purchases

For credits purchased on behalf of a team or organisation, unassigned credits can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Once a credit has been assigned to a learner, it follows the same rules as an individual purchase above.

Technical problems

If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from accessing or completing your course, contact us and we will resolve it. If we cannot fix the issue, you are entitled to a full refund regardless of whether you have started the course.

Your rights under Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a course has a major failure — for example, it is substantially different from its description or cannot be completed due to a fault on our end — you are entitled to a refund under the consumer guarantees.

How to request a refund

Email us at training@essentialfireprotection.com.au or use the contact form with your name and the email address you used to purchase. We aim to respond within one business day. Approved refunds are processed via Stripe and typically appear within 5–10 business days.
